Structural Integration:
Connecting with our Connective Tissue

2:45 – 3:45 PM

Join 300hr Kantra CALM School of Yoga Advanced Yoga Teacher Training student, Melissa Michael, LMT, ATSI (owner of An Integrated Body) as she shares her passion for the body’s connective tissue (fascia) and will introduce a better understanding and connection of how it plays a vital role in our physical and emotional well being.

Melissa specializes in a manual therapy called Structural Integration and structural bodywork. Rather than focusing on symptoms of pain, Melissa addresses the body as one whole working system by way of our body’s connective tissue (fascia). Melissa is a graduate of Anatomy Trains Structural Integration led by Tom Myers.

Yes You Can Yoga:
For Any Age, For Any Level

2:45 – 3:45 PM

Do you desire:

  • Better physical health?
  • More mental clarity?
  • Stress reduction?

Bren Stewart and Sam Anderson, both members of the Kantra CALM School of Yoga 300hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, present a yoga style perfect for people recovering from an injury, working with balance issues, recovering from joint replacement surgery or simply wanting to start an exercise regimen. A short, assisted yoga practice using a chair will be lead by Bren where attendees can experience an actual Yes You Can class.

Yin Yoga:
Cooling and Meditative

4:00 – 5:00 PM

Yin Yoga is an internal, passive, cooling and meditative practice. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and the joints of the body.

Yin Yoga gives you a feeling of ease and lightness in the body and mind. It involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes or longer.

In order to achieve a balanced yoga practice, we need to balance our more active (yang) yoga practice with a Yin Yoga practice.

Introduction to Meditation

4:00 – 5:00 PM

Meditation is for anyone who yearns to slow down and be still. Discover the fundamentals:

  • The how, what, when, why and where of meditation
  • The amazing benefits you’ll experience with meditation
  • The different types of meditation (and which is the best fit for you)

Now is the time to start. In as a little as 2-3 minutes a day, you can get on the path of mindful living and improved emotional health.

Inspiring CALM Talk with the Kantras:
Moving Through Life with More Ease

6:30 – 7:30 PM

Dr. David and Augusta Kantra (founders of the Center for CALM Living and the Kantra CALM School of Yoga) present: The Inspirational Journey of Mindfulness. In the words of Jon Kabat Zinn, “Mindfulness is a way of befriending ourselves and our experiences.” Discover how the acts of paying attention and cultivating everyday moments strengthen the relationship you have with yourself and invites in freedom never before experienced.

The Internationally Renowned Sean Johnson:
